C&A Industries has been a market leader in providing waterjet cutting services and waterjet cut parts in Lethbridge, AB for over 10 years! Our Flow Waterjet cutting technology utilizes high-pressure water (85ksi), mixed with an abrasive substance to create a jet that can pierce and cut through almost any material to produce a high quality, precise cut for your parts.
Most of the other popular cutting methods, like laser cutting, plasma cutting or flame cutting use heat, and explosive gases for the cutting process. The high temperatures generated by these methods produce sparks, slag, and heat deformation that requires additional effort to clean and prepare the parts for the next manufacturing process. Customers of precision waterjet cutting services and waterjet cut products include those in the food and beverage industries, industrial equipment manufacturing, metal fabrication, stainless steel fabrication, aluminum fabrication, aerospace, and automotive industries.
C&A Group offers waterjet cutting services in Lethbridge for the following material:
- Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Carbon Steel, Alloys, Plastics, Ceramics, Composites, Alloys, Rubbers, and many more!

Why Choose Waterjet Cutting?
Waterjet cutting is a versatile and precise cutting process that can be used for almost any material you need cut in any thickness up to 8” thick! Some of the benefits of choosing waterjet cutting for the production of your parts are:
Waterjet cutting is a very precise and clean cutting process. Typical part tolerances range from between 0.003” – 0.005” on thinner materials. Thicker materials (> 1”) can have tolerances ranging from 0.005” – 0.100”. The waterjet machine has many settings that can be adjusted to optimize the finish and accuracy of the cut such as speed, kerf, and pierce locations. The cutting speed and kerf adjustments are the most important variables to adjust and can be customized to give you the finish an accuracy necessary for specific geometry or features on a part.
The waterjet cutting process utilizes sand and high-pressure water for cutting which results in a no heat added cut. A no heat cutting process results in no slag or sparks that can tarnish the finish and increase clean-up time, but also reduces heat added to the material which can relieve or add stress to the material resulting in a deformed finished part.
Waterjet cutting is a versatile cutting process that can cut through almost any material available up to 8” thick! Our oversized 6’ x 12’ table is large enough to fit the largest sheets from suppliers, and when cutting smaller stock material we can load up the table with multiple projects as needed.
Waterjet cutting produces a superior finish edge that requires almost no clean-up. As the cutting process only utilizes water and sand, there is no slag/spatter produced during the cutting process. A quick de-bur is all that is required on the back side of the cutting face and your parts are safe for handling.
Waterjet cutting is an environmentally friendly cutting solution that utilizes only water and sand in the cutting process. There are no harmful chemicals or gasses used or any off-gases produced from the cutting process that require ventilation to keep the work area safe.
